As a NYS Certified Code Enforcement Official (CEO), Kim has 17 years of experience providing technical guidance on a wide range of building projects throughout all five phases of design. As an Architectural Designer, she has expertise in office buildings, public sector, retail, mixed-use, food service, fitness centers, and residential projects. She has worked on multiple interior office renovation projects creating construction documents, attending site visits and weekly construction progress teleconferences, and reviewing submittals and RFI’s. After collaborating with clients to understand their requirements, Clayton coordinates with NKB’s design team to create BIM models for use in all phases of the project. His previous work experience includes new construction and both small and major renovation projects.

During her time at NKB, Jessica has acted as the lead designer on a multitude of projects and has performed the review and design of roof replacement, interior renovation, masonry repair/replacement projects, and more.

Jessica acts as our BIM manager, utilizing Building Information Modeling to create models that enhance projects efficiency, allowing for flexibility of design, reduction of redundancies, and planned phasing of construction.

Paul is a graduate of SUNY Buffalo with both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture. He serves as a Project Architect and Project Manager with more than 10 years of experience on federal, state, higher education, cultural, industrial, commercial, and correctional facility projects from concept to completion. While managing projects, his focus is on coordinating project teams, client relations, quality assurance, and construction administration.

A  Registered Architect in New York State, Paul is also is a certified Asbestos Project Designer and a Building Evaluator for the California Safety Assessment Program.

For nearly 30 years, Dan has served as Project Architect, Project Manager, and Principal-In-Charge for school districts, municipalities, and governmental projects involving renovations, reconstructions and additions. His resume includes a working knowledge and experience with sustainable design strategies and he is a LEED Accredited Design Professional.

Dan is experienced in all phases of design from conceptual and schematic through construction administration and close-out. Chris’ areas of specialization include highly complex and technical project scopes for public sector, higher education, research, and corporate facilities where considerations for flexibility, redundancy, energy conservation, and long-lead deliveries need to be taken into account. Chris’ experience includes sustainable design strategies and building commissioning practices, and he is a LEED Accredited Design Professional.

Jim brings nearly 20 years of experience in the design industry to our team. His experience primarily lies in mechanical engineering, project management, project scheduling, energy modeling, building envelope design, and cost estimating. Jim has a deep background in thermal and material sciences, and frequently uses this knowledge as a base for Building Energy Modeling services and in-depth Facility Condition Assessments.

Jim’s ability to thoroughly plan the sequence of a project, to account for possible contingencies, and to successfully create and execute solutions when faced with unforeseen obstacles has allowed him to deliver results which exceed client expectations on a multitude of complex projects with multi-faceted project teams.

Carl, a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, has 28 years of engineering experience focused on structural analysis and design of buildings, petrochemical facilities, and specialty structures. With his involvement on projects ranging from 3-D finite element analyses, coordination of drafting, preparation of specifications, and construction support services for various government, institutional, commercial, industrial and residential projects, Carl’s experience encompasses a wide variety of building materials and structural design techniques.

In addition, Carl oversees our structural team; mentoring and guiding them to the successful completion of numerous structurally-focused projects.
