Federal, HealthThe Health Care for Homeless Veterans Program was looking to renovate a 17,439 structure to accommodate program needs as they were outgrowing their 8,000 SF leased space in Atlanta.
NKB performed space analysis and developed construction documents and cost estimates for the Veterans Administration Ft. McPherson campus Building #128. The renovated space provides integrated health and education facility that includes classrooms, group rooms, consultation rooms, workrooms, mechanical space, staff break areas, and rest rooms. The new educational space can accommodate up to 75 people and provides classrooms for homeless veterans and offers space for special events such as educational conferences.
This project repurposed a historic two-story structure , bringing it into full building code compliance, serving the needs of homeless Veterans in northern Georgia and beyond.
