Project Overview
NKB teamed with phZ Architects and ASM Engineering to design a facility expansion for Page Trucking. The program included 16,000 SF of office space, 12,000 SF of shop space, 12,000 SF of shop support space, and 8,500 SF of renovated space in the existing building.
The existing building was renovated into a training facility, with two specialty service bays on the ground floor. The second floor was renovated into a driver amenity facility, which provides a place for drivers to comfortably wait while their vehicles are being serviced. Sleeping rooms are also available if drivers must stay overnight. The new commercial vehicle repair garage includes six service bays, a parts shop, and storage space on the first floor, shop offices, mechanic locker and break rooms on the second floor.
The new construction portion are pre-engineered metal buildings with large moment frames to resist the lateral wind and seismic design loads, and interior columns provided at select locations to economize the roof girder spans and support the second floor and shop mezzanine.
